Carnival Cruise Line announced new itineraries today that include a special visit to Acapulco, Mexico, which will mark a significant milestone as the cruise line’s first stop in the legendary destination in more than 15 years.
The announcement is a truly noteworthy element of a slate of new sailings Carnival opened for sale today, as it continues extending its cruise schedule from spring 2027 into 2028.
This return to the legendary Pacific destination, scheduled for spring 2027, represents a significant milestone – reconnecting Carnival and its guests with one of Mexico's most famous coastal cities known for its dramatic cliffs, golden beaches and vibrant culture. Carnival last visited Acapulco in 2010.
The visit to Acapulco will be part of a special Carnival Journeys voyage on Carnival Legend that will reposition the ship from Tampa, Fla. to Seattle. Departing April 4, 2027, guests will enjoy a 16-day cruise that also features destinations such as Cartagena and Santa Marta, Colombia, along with Cabo San Lucas, Mexico as well as a full transit of the Panama Canal. From Seattle, the ship will then sail a series of week-long cruises to Alaska. To see all of the new sailings opened today, click here.
